PTU - Steampunk Twilight - Forum Set

This tutorial is written of my own design. Any similarities to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.

SUPPLIES
Kit: I am using the amazing steampunk kit, Steampunk Twilight from Pink Paradox Productions. You can purchase here.
Tube of choice: I am using the artwork of  Helleana. She is a ftu that I downloaded from The Zone Groups. 
Font of choice: I am using Carnivale Freakshow
Animation Shop if you wish to animate

DOWNSIZE ELEMENTS TO YOUR LIKING
ADD YOUR DROP SHADOWS AS YOU GO
Let's Get Started

Open new canvas 600x250
Flood fill white.
Open paper 11
C/P to workspace
Highlight your white background
Selections - Float - Defloat
Highlight paper layer
Selections - Invert
Hit delete key
Selections - None
Rename background

Highlight white background layer once again
Selections - Float -Defloat - Modify - Contract - 5
Selections - Invert
New raster layer
Drag above your paper layer
Flood fill with gradient of choice
Selections - None
Rename Frame

Now you can delete your white background layer.

Open your tube
C/P to workspace
Drag tube layer below frame layer
Position into desired place
Add drop shadow.
Rename tube

Open element 70
C/P to workspace
Downsize to desired size
Add drop shadow
Rename Gear 3

Open element 136
C/P to workspace
Downsize to desired size
Position above your first gear
Rename Gear 2

Open element  77
C/P to workspace
Downsize to desired size
Position into center of element 136
Merge down

Open element 141
C/P to workspace
Downsize to desired size
Position into desired place
Add drop shadow
Rename Gear 1

Open element 76
C/P to workspace
Downsize to desired size
Position into the center of element 141
merge down

Add your copyright and your name

If you do not wish to animate, you are done.

Animated Instructions

Hide your name layer
Drag your hidden name layer above your frame layer
Hide your gear elements

Merge your frame, tube and copyright down together.

Leave this alone for the time being.
In your layers palette
Highlight the element your renamed Gear 1.
Edit - Copy
Now go over to Animation Shop(A/S)
Edit - Paste - As New Animation
or you can right click in an empty space and paste as new animation
Now we are going to make it ready for animation
Go to effects in your tab area up top
(Click on screen shot for bigger version)
In the scroll down menu, click Insert Image Effect
A new box will pop up
Apply these settings.
Effect Length; 3.8 secs
Frames per Second: 10 FPS
Effect: Rotate
Click ok.
Now you should have 39 frames for your first gear animation
Leave this alone for the time being
Now back over to PSP
Highlight Gear 2
Edit - Copy
Back to A/S
Paste as new animation
We are going to use the same effect on this gear
Use the same settings, but in the area named Direction 
there is a box that reads "run effect in reverse direction"
Make sure that box is checked.
Click ok.
You should have 39 frames for your second gear animation
Leave this one alone as well for now
Back to PSP
Highlight your gear 3
Edit - Copy
Back to A/S
Paste as a new animation
We are going to use the same effect for this gear as well.
Uncheck the direction box this time.
You should have 39 frames for this gear.
Leave alone for the time being
Back to PSP
Highlight your background layer
Edit - Copy
Back to A/S
Paste as new layer
We are going to duplicate this layer till we have 39 frames
